I’ve gotten rid of the bandage ex yesterday’s eye operation. My left eye is not 100% functioning yet, but things are a lot easier now.

I can read books, watch TV and even write. With only one eye yesterday, all I got was dizziness.

Alhamdulillah, I hope things will be recovered soon.

PS. Thanks Ollie, Nuniek and Angel :)

Hari ini, sembilan tahun yang lalu.

I just underwent an eye operation. A very light one, actually. Now I can only see with one eye, and it really is difficult. I hope things will go well, so by tomorrow I’ll be able to see with both eyes.

Which favors of your Lord, do you deny?

I will be happy to meet you someday.

Have you ever had a day that just went so great that you just couldn’t stop smiling?

Today I had one.

No, actually a lot thing wasn’t going well, even a lot of mess. But that just couldn’t ruin my day, not knowing why exactly. I felt great, in fact I couldn’t stop smiling and giggling.

And no, I’m not in love. Just in case you’re wondering :)

Good night, universe. Please let me wake up on the right side of my bed again tomorrow :)

Listening to Adele’s ‘Someone Like You’ sang in a wedding by the wedding singer.

Uh, hullo? Did the singer even understand English?

There are reasons why I no longer fancy functions, especially when they’re held by so-called family.

Take tonight as an example. The daughter of my mom’s second cousin is getting married, so I came.

There I met another second cousin of that girl (alright, that made us fourth cousin or something like that). Yeah I know it’s complicated, that’s what happened when you’re Minangkabaunese, you’ve got huge family.

So this fourth cousin of mine, who’s probably not yet twenty years old kept asking weird questions.

First, asking when will I be getting married. Oh well, I’m not offended, I’m used to those kind of questions. But being asked by someone who’s not too close, very young and a guy, made it weird. I just smiled and went away.

Then after a while, I bumped into him again. This time, he said, there this bouquet throwing by the bride and forced me to go to the front. I was a bit shocked, but I still managed to just, again, smiled and went.

Third time around, he joked about whether I found any guy at all in the reception. Not bothering to smile, I just went out of the room trying to find my parents to ask them to go home.

Right before going home, I again bumped into him. Perhaps realizing that his previous questions annoyed me, he then asked about work.

‘Where do you work?’ I named the company.

‘In which area?’ I answered, Marketing.

‘Are you a Marketing Manager?’ I didn’t really give an answer to that.

‘Are you even already a Manager?’ with a tone that I didn’t quite like.

My God.

Oh boy. A guy with a girl’s mouth. Even worse, a bi**h mouth.

Talk about manner.

I wonder what these people would say if the Pink Mosques book really gets published. Non-hijabi girl like me writing about mosques. They’ll most probably think my writings are crap.

You just need to call it an end sometimes, don’t you?
